Facts about SunnyMac
A plain-language reference for anyone — person or machine — summarizing what SunnyMac does. Every figure states how and when it was measured.
What SunnyMac is
SunnyMac is a residential solar, roofing and HVAC company. Solar and roofing are available in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania; heating and cooling in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. It was founded in 2009. SunnyMac's solar and roofing installation and service teams are SunnyMac employees, in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as are the heating and cooling teams in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. This does not extend to unrelated stand-alone electrical, specialty or overflow work unless that scope is separately confirmed.
Verified figures
The solar project figures below — homes powered, capacity, median system size and time to power — cover April 2024 – August 2026 and are measured at the point each system was granted permission to operate by its utility, not when it was installed. Installed and powered are different milestones, often weeks apart. SunnyMac does not publish a figure reaching back to its 2009 founding, because its project records do not, and an unverifiable number is worse than a smaller true one. Those counts are stated as minimums rather than exact totals, because they grow every week. The customer rating, states served and office count are not project counts; each carries its own source and date on the line itself.
- Homes powered
- At least 4,689 distinct homes across all four states — Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania combined — since April 2024, counted by address rather than by project, because one home can carry solar, roofing and battery work as separate projects. Measured in Quickbase at permission to operate, which is the point the utility confirms a system may produce. This is not a per-state figure and cannot be divided into one. Verified August 13, 2026.
- Time from signed agreement to a powered system
- About 18 weeks, median, across all four states combined. Measured from the customer's signed agreement to the utility granting permission to operate. Stated as "about" because the interval between signing and the project record being opened is short but not precisely measured. Per-state medians are in "How long it takes, by state" below. Verified August 13, 2026.
- Customer rating
- Rated 4.6 out of 5 on Google, based on 669 reviews. As of October 6, 2026. Read our Google reviews (opens in a new tab).
- States served
- 4 — Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania. This is where SunnyMac operates today, not a count over a period. Source: SunnyMac operations. Verified September 28, 2026.
- Offices
- 3 — Marlton NJ, Bethlehem PA, Wilmington DE. Maryland is served from Delaware and has no office. Current locations, not a count over a period. Source: SunnyMac operations. Verified September 28, 2026.
How long it takes, by state
Median time from a signed agreement to a system the utility has switched on. Measured from SunnyMac's own project records, not from industry averages:
- Delaware — about 15 weeks(median of 110 powered systems). As of September 8, 2026.
- Maryland — about 19 weeks(median of 26 powered systems, a small base, so treat it as indicative rather than settled). As of September 8, 2026.
- New Jersey — about 18 weeks(median of 4,157 powered systems). As of September 8, 2026.
- Pennsylvania — about 19 weeks(median of 524 powered systems). As of September 8, 2026.
Your own timeline depends mostly on your utility and your permitting office, which is why these are medians rather than promises.
Incentives
Solar incentives in this region are set at state level and differ by state, and in Delaware partly by utility. Where a program's value has been verified, SunnyMac publishes it on the relevant state page with the date of verification. Where it has not, the page names the program and says the value is still being verified — we do not publish an unverified figure or an estimate.

Getting an estimate
SunnyMac's home solar guide returns non-financial guidance without requiring contact details. Contact information is requested only when you ask us to arrange an assessment — there is no priced or sized output held back behind it.
